Rosin said walks home from school only to find her Aunt Odder missing. There is no note left behind. Her aunt's handbag and car are at home so Rosinda is frantic with worry. A talking crow appears and convinces Rosinda to come with him to another world. Her friend Jerrell goes with her. His backpack contains items that will be useful to their adventure in the other world. Rosinda has no memory of her parents except that they were in a car accident. She can't remember anything due to ring in the car accident with her parents.
The author writes a novel full of adventure with unexpected twists and turns. It is a fast-paced novel. The characters are described excellently. I cared about Rosinda and her group of friends that go with her on this adventure. The writing was so well done that I easily read the book. Read it!

This is a wonderful story that is suitable for those in middle-grade and up, it is entertaining and unlike so many books written now, this is a standalone. When Rosinda gets home from school she finds that Aunt is not there. She is worried because the car and her purse are there. A talking crow appears and eventually convinces her that it is imperative that she come with him to save her aunt. She is joined on her journey to another world by her best friend Jerrick. The author did an excellent job with the world building and the story is very fast paced.

This is a wonderful, fantastical story filled with magic and suspense. I am a woman in my fifties and I enjoyed this book immensely. I love these kind of stories. Rosinda lives with her aunt. But there is something going on with Rosinda's memory. Animals converse with her. She sets out on a journey. You'll have to read this book to find out where the crow takes her.
I am certainly not a middle-grade reader. I read this book when I was 72 and enjoyed every minute of it. Even knowing that it was written for younger readers, the plot gets your attention and the superb writing keeps it! Definitely a great book for young readers and those that are young at heart.
